Tip #27: Write a list of all the things you’ve always wanted to do in your city. Then do them.
The Why: Okay so, you’ve made the decision to be brave and fearless. You’re going to go out there, and take over the world!
It’s a great start to have these intentions, but more often than not unless we create a tangible action plan, intentions are all they are ever going to be.
One way of tackling the onset of apathy, and to actually start overcoming your anxiety is to write a bucket list.
Ah, but this is not your usual bucket list of things to do before you die.
Although a list like that is useful in setting long term goals or big dreams, more often than not they are going to be things we put off, which doesn’t really help us in the short term.
Instead, write a bucket list for your city.
These can be fun things, activities or classes that you’ve always wanted to do or try, but haven’t had the headspace for.
Well, clear your schedule darling. You’re going to paint the town red!
(Or paint a canvas red if you’re trying out an art class)

These are tangible, actionable (and super fun) things you can do right now, or in the short term.
There’s no need to set a time limit, but a good recommendation is to attempt to do one at least once a week.
Anxiety can stop you from going out there and experiencing the world. It can trap you in a negative spin cycle like some sort of terrible washing machine.
Writing a city/town/village/cave bucket list is you taking back control of your life and getting out the house on your own terms.
Two huge triggers of anxiety can be:
- Going to new places
- Trying new thing
This list activity is a great way to overcome both of those fears, as well as exploring all the wonderful things where you live has to offer. Show yourself it can not only be okay, but awesome too!
Start small, and grow large.
