Tip #5: Hug It Out

Tip #5: This one is rather short, but sweet. 20-second hugs.

The why: Cuddling for 20 seconds releases a hit of dopamine (one of the happiness chemicals) which has been proven to relieve anxiety, depression and is just generally a very lovely way to connect with your fellow humans. A hit of happy.

Whether it’s a family member, friend, or stranger’s dog (though this is possibly not recommended without permission) – reach out and cuddle.
